Hello, and welcome. I'm pleased you're here :)
Heres a whistle stop tour of why I'm here and for you to see if you'd like to hear more. So, why did I start this blog?
After years of navigating through infertility, life got very busy! Who knew that I would become a Mummy to four Smalls. It took ten years to complete my family - thats a lot to write about. If sharing my experience can help others then that will make me very happy.
So I write about how we navigated life through infertility, and what helped us to become parents. And then my experience of becoming a mother to Felix, who through some miracle was conceived the customary way in between failing IVF cycles. In our desperate effort to grow our family, we gave IVF one last go. It worked. It worked very well. And there I was, this woman who wondered whether she'd ever be called Mummy, with her own mini football team!
But the arrival of the girls was fraught with difficulties. A life threatening birth for us all, saw my girls arrive at 29 weeks gestation and spend their first 11 weeks in hospital. Thereafter, the first 15 months were punctuated by a series of life threatening traumas for two of my babies.
It was during this time that I read a collection of survival stories that helped me to feel less isolated and more able to navigate my way through the fear, trauma and a PTSD diagnosis. Feeling connected to others that 'get it' has been an important part of my own healing. Knowing how much I was comforted by the words of others, I really hope that sharing my own survival story can provide the same comfort.
And then theres the daily stuff! We share our daily adventures on social media. Our Instagram journey really started when the girls did a Triple the Look with Holly Willoughby on This Morning. Since then we've joined a lovely community of people who we engage with daily, and where I share the wins, the fun, and the fails of parenting triplet girls and their big brother!
Thank you for being here. Do come and join us on our socials.
Lots of love, Rebecca xxx
